Refund Policy. Clear before checkout.

Direct purchases run through Paddle as merchant of record. This page explains when refunds are likely, how to ask for one, and what happens to Pro afterward.

  • 01

    Overview

This policy explains how refunds work for MultiTrim. It applies to direct purchases through our website or Paddle checkout unless a store policy or written agreement says otherwise.

For direct purchases, Paddle is the merchant of record. Paddle handles payment, tax, receipts, refunds, and payment compliance.

This policy does not reduce mandatory consumer rights where you live.

    Try before buying

MultiTrim has a free version so you can test the basics before paying. Free currently handles one file at a time for MP3, M4A/AAC, and WAV.

Before buying Pro, check that the app launches, recognizes your files, writes outputs where you expect, and fits your workflow.

Pro currently unlocks batch processing plus FLAC, AIFF, and ALAC.

    Direct purchases

For Paddle purchases, refund requests are reviewed under this policy, Paddle's buyer terms, Paddle's refund policy, and the law that applies.

If you have a legal right to withdraw or cancel, Paddle's buyer terms may provide a cancellation period. Digital products can have exceptions once you download, access, use, or benefit from them.

Outside mandatory legal rights, refunds are reviewed case by case. Paddle may approve a full refund, approve a partial refund, or decline the request based on the reason, timing, usage, and signs of fraud or abuse.

    Eligible cases

Refunds are more likely when Pro cannot be activated after reasonable troubleshooting, you bought twice by mistake, you bought the wrong product, the charge was unauthorized, or a technical issue blocks ordinary use and we cannot fix it.

We may ask for your Paddle transaction ID, purchase email, license ID, app version, operating system, screenshots, or error text so we can verify the purchase and understand the problem.

Please contact support@multitrim.app before opening a payment dispute when you can. It is usually faster, and sometimes the issue is just licensing or compatibility.

  • 05

    Usually not refundable

Refunds may be declined for change of mind after substantial use, workflows we did not advertise, files outside supported formats, missing backups, accidental deletion outside MultiTrim's normal output behavior, or skipping the free version before purchase.

Refunds may also be declined when there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, license tampering, license sharing, or use that conflicts with the reason for the refund request.

Promotions, launch discounts, coupons, and price changes do not automatically create a right to a refund or price adjustment unless the law requires one.

    How to request

For Paddle purchases, use Paddle order support or email support@multitrim.app with your purchase email and transaction reference. Do not send full card numbers.

For app store or platform purchases, request the refund through the store where you bought MultiTrim. Stores usually require refunds to go through their own purchase systems.

For volume, studio, label, enterprise, or invoiced purchases, the signed order form, invoice terms, or written agreement may control refunds.

  • 07

    Timing

If a refund is approved, it normally goes back to the original payment method. Timing depends on the bank, card network, PayPal, or local payment method.

Paddle's refund process and payment rails can affect timing. Once a refund is issued, we cannot make your bank post it faster.

If Paddle or another merchant of record collected tax, that merchant handles any tax refund under its own process and the law.

  • 08

    After a refund

If a Pro purchase is refunded, reversed, charged back, or invalidated, we may deactivate, revoke, or refuse the related Pro license.

Deactivating a local license inside the app only removes Pro from that installation. It does not create a refund, cancel a transaction, or reverse a payment.

You can keep using any free functionality that remains available, subject to the Terms of Service.

  • 09

    Disputes

If you do not recognize a charge, contact Paddle or support@multitrim.app promptly so it can be investigated.

Chargebacks can slow things down and may suspend the related license while the dispute is reviewed.

We may provide transaction, license, access, support, and anti-fraud information to Paddle, banks, card networks, payment providers, or legal authorities when needed to resolve payment disputes or prevent abuse.

  • 10

    Changes

We may update this policy when MultiTrim, checkout providers, store rules, pricing, or legal requirements change. The latest version will stay on this page with the date above.

Refund requests are usually reviewed under the policy in effect when you bought MultiTrim, or under the rules required by law.
