Terms of Service. Use MultiTrim responsibly.
The rules for the desktop app, website, checkout, licensing, and support. Written for how MultiTrim actually works: local audio processing, optional telemetry, and paid Pro unlocks.
- 01
Agreement
These terms cover the MultiTrim desktop app, multitrim.app, checkout, licensing, and support. By installing, buying, or using MultiTrim you agree to them.
If you use MultiTrim for a company, you are accepting these terms for that company.
- 02
Product
MultiTrim finds and trims silence at the start and end of audio files. Everything runs on your computer.
The free version handles one file at a time for MP3, M4A/AAC, and WAV. Pro adds unlimited batch processing plus FLAC, WAV/RF64, AIFF/AIFC, raw ADTS AAC, M4A AAC, M4A ALAC, and Ogg Vorbis.
Formats, features, pricing, and platform support can change as the app changes.
- 03
License
You get a limited, non-transferable license to install and use MultiTrim for personal use or internal business work.
Do not resell it, host it as a service for others, tamper with license checks, or try to extract the source code, except where the law gives you a right that cannot be waived.
- 04
Your files
Your audio stays yours. MultiTrim claims no ownership of anything you process.
You are responsible for having the rights to the files you process, and for checking outputs before relying on them. A malformed, unusually quiet, or oddly tagged file can produce a bad trim.
- 05
Backups
MultiTrim writes a new trimmed file rather than editing the original in place. In the default Replace mode the original moves to your system Trash; Copy mode leaves it untouched. Keep backups before running a large batch anyway. Audio libraries are too expensive to rebuild from memory.
We are not responsible for loss caused by missing backups, wrong settings, full disks, sync tools, external drives, or anything else outside MultiTrim's control.
- 06
Purchases
Paddle is the merchant of record for direct purchases. It runs checkout, takes payment, handles tax and receipts, and processes refunds under its own buyer terms. Paddle may be the name on your card statement.
If you buy through an app store, that store's purchase and refund rules apply instead.
- 07
Activation
Pro unlocks with a signed license that the app verifies and stores locally, so it keeps working without calling home every time. You may need internet access to buy, activate, or fix a license issue.
We can revoke a license that was obtained by fraud, charged back, refunded, tampered with, or shared against these terms.
The free desktop app does not require an account. Checkout and the account dashboard do.
- 08
Acceptable use
Do not use MultiTrim to break the law or infringe rights. Do not attack or overload our services, forge license responses, or build license bypasses.
- 09
Updates
We ship updates for bugs, security, and features, and we sometimes change or remove functionality. We try not to break workflows casually, but no feature is promised forever.
- 10
Third parties
MultiTrim depends on services like Paddle, hosting providers, and open source libraries. They have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their outages, billing decisions, or data practices.
Open source components keep their own licenses. These terms do not take away rights those licenses give you.
- 11
Support and feedback
Support runs through [email protected]. We may ask for your app version, system details, or transaction reference. Do not send audio files or sensitive data unless we ask and you are comfortable sharing.
If you send ideas or bug reports, we can use them to improve MultiTrim without owing you anything. Do not send confidential information as feedback.
- 12
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what data the app, website, checkout, licensing, and support can touch, and what never leaves your computer.
- 13
Disclaimers
MultiTrim is provided 'as is' and 'as available' to the maximum extent the law allows. We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and error-free operation.
We do not promise a perfect trim for every file, codec, container, or mastering style.
- 14
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profit, lost data, or business interruption.
Our total liability for all claims is capped at what you paid for MultiTrim in the 12 months before the event, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing here limits liability the law does not let us limit, such as fraud or consumer rights that cannot be waived.
- 15
Termination
You can stop using MultiTrim at any time by uninstalling it. We can end your license if you violate these terms, abuse purchases, or create legal risk.
Ownership, license limits, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms survive termination.
- 16
Law and changes
These terms are interpreted under the laws that apply to MultiTrim's operator, unless mandatory consumer law where you live says otherwise. Before bringing a formal claim, email [email protected] so we can try to fix it informally.
When we update these terms, the latest version stays on this page with the date above. For material changes we will give notice in a reasonable way. Continued use means you accept the update.
