Terms of Service. Use MultiTrim responsibly.

These terms apply when you use the MultiTrim desktop app, multitrim.app, checkout, licensing, documentation, updates, or support.

By downloading, installing, buying, or using MultiTrim, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

If you use MultiTrim for a company or another organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms for that organization.

MultiTrim is a desktop app for finding and trimming silence at the start and end of supported audio files. Processing runs locally, and the app writes trimmed copies to the destination you choose.

The free version currently handles one file at a time for MP3, M4A/AAC, and WAV. Pro currently unlocks batch processing plus FLAC, AIFF, and ALAC.

Formats, detection behavior, output details, pricing, and platform support can change as the app changes.

As long as you follow these terms, you can install and use MultiTrim for personal use or internal business work. The license is limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable.

You cannot sell, sublicense, rent, lease, host, or offer MultiTrim as a service for other people unless we agree in writing.

You cannot reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, bypass license checks, remove notices, or try to derive source code unless the law gives you a right that cannot be waived.

Your audio files, metadata, libraries, and outputs remain yours. MultiTrim does not claim ownership of anything you process with the app.

You are responsible for having the rights needed to process the files you choose.

Check outputs before relying on them. MultiTrim can make a bad trim when a file is malformed, unusually quiet, incorrectly tagged, or affected by codec or container edge cases.

MultiTrim is built to write trimmed copies rather than edit originals. Still, keep backups before running a large batch. Audio libraries are too expensive to rebuild from memory.

You choose the input files, output folder, filename suffix, thresholds, trim safety, and format settings.

We are not responsible for loss caused by missing backups, wrong settings, low disk space, file system errors, sync tools, external drives, network volumes, or operating system behavior outside MultiTrim's control.

For direct purchases, Paddle is the merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment, taxes, receipts, refunds, fraud checks, and payment compliance.

When you buy through Paddle, you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms and refund policy. Paddle may appear on your receipt, card statement, invoice, or payment confirmation.

If you buy through an app store or another authorized platform, that platform's purchase, billing, refund, and account rules may apply instead.

Pro is activated with a signed license response. The app checks that response locally and stores the activation on your device.

You may need internet access to start checkout, receive activation, sync a purchase, or fix a license issue. After activation, Pro can keep working locally unless the activation expires, is removed, is invalid, or is restricted by its terms.

We may refuse, suspend, revoke, or limit a license if we believe it was obtained fraudulently, shared unlawfully, charged back, refunded, tampered with, or used against these terms.

The free desktop app does not require a MultiTrim account. Checkout, refunds, taxes, receipts, and purchase recovery may still require information handled by Paddle or another platform.

If we add accounts, cloud features, team licensing, hosted services, or license portals later, extra terms or notices may apply.

Do not use MultiTrim to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, attack systems, bypass protections, abuse checkout or refunds, overload services, or interfere with someone else's use.

Do not misrepresent MultiTrim, resell licenses without permission, create fake license responses, automate fraudulent activations, or build a license-bypass system.

Do not send support requests, telemetry, or checkout data that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, or meant to disrupt anything.

We may ship updates for bugs, security, compatibility, formats, documentation, licensing, or features. Some updates may be needed for the app to keep working properly.

We may add, change, or remove features, formats, pricing, platform support, distribution channels, telemetry options, or license mechanisms. We will try not to break workflows casually, but no feature is promised forever.

Keep your operating system and MultiTrim installation reasonably current.

MultiTrim can depend on Paddle, app stores, hosting providers, email providers, telemetry infrastructure when enabled, operating system APIs, and open source libraries.

Those services have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their outages, policy changes, billing decisions, refund decisions, account restrictions, or data practices.

Open source components may come with their own licenses. These terms do not take away rights you have under those licenses.

If you send ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or suggestions, we can use them to improve MultiTrim without paying you or asking again.

Do not send confidential information as feedback unless we have a separate written agreement.

We may provide support by email or another channel we publish. Support is not guaranteed to be available at all times.

We may ask for app version, operating system, format type, error messages, settings, transaction reference, or license ID. Do not send audio files or sensitive data unless it is needed and you choose to share it.

Support for older versions may end when maintaining them is no longer practical, secure, or compatible with current platforms.

The Privacy Policy explains how MultiTrim handles local app data, optional telemetry, checkout, licensing, website data, and support messages.

By using MultiTrim, you acknowledge that data is handled as described there and, where relevant, by Paddle or another authorized platform under its own terms.

MultiTrim is provided 'as is' and 'as available' to the maximum extent the law allows. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not promise perfect trims for every file, codec, container, metadata structure, mastering style, library layout, or workflow.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. Where that is true, this section applies only as far as the law allows.

As far as the law allows, MultiTrim and its owners, operators, suppliers, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. That includes lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, lost files, business interruption, and replacement costs.

As far as the law allows, our total liability for all claims about MultiTrim is limited to what you paid for MultiTrim in the 12 months before the event, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or consumer rights that cannot be waived.

You can stop using MultiTrim at any time. Remove the app and delete local app data with your operating system tools.

We may suspend or terminate your license or access if you violate these terms, abuse purchases or refunds, compromise security, or create legal risk.

Some parts still apply after termination: ownership, license limits, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and general provisions.

These terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws that apply to the operator of MultiTrim, without conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights where you live. These terms are not meant to reduce rights that cannot be waived.

Before bringing a formal claim, contact support@multitrim.app so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these terms. The latest version will stay on this page with the date above.

If a change is material, we will give notice in a reasonable way, such as through the website, app, checkout, or email if we have your address. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.
